About the Shaving Ginger

Oh hey, I didn't see you there!  Welcome to The Shaving Ginger.  I'm the aforementioned ginger.  I'm a traditional wet shaver and I think you can and should be too!  This blog is about exploring the why, the how, and the culture of the rapidly growing community of traditional wet shavers.

"What is wet shaving?" you may ask.  Well, its rather simple!  Wet shaving is a method of male grooming utilizing traditional shaving tools such as a double edge safety razor or straight "cut throat" razor, a shaving brush, and traditional soaps or creams.

For some, wet shaving is an issue of economics, for some its an issue of medical reasoning, and yet for some still it is a matter of an all consuming hobby.  You might say I am in the latter category, but I'm here to guide you no matter what category you are in that brought you to this blog.  More than anything I want to expose you to a different way of taking care of yourself...a way to slow down and relax in a constantly fast moving world...and to reconnect with the methods that made our grandmothers love our grandfathers.  They truly did things better back then, and I want to show you how and why.
